The Archaeological Park of Dion, the most important archaeological site at Mount Olympus in Greece, features several notable sanctuaries, including those dedicated to Zeus, Demeter, Artemis, Asklepios, and Isis. The Sanctuary of Demeter is the oldest, dating back to the Archaic period, while the Sanctuary of Zeus was built during the Hellenistic period. The site also includes a theater, which, although rebuilt in wood, was once a venue for concerts and shows.

It is situated on the west slopes of Mount Mainalon, at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters, offering a stunning view of the Megalopolis plain and the Taygetus mountains. Dimitsana is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, Open air water power museum, and the Philosophou Monastery, which was a key center of resistance and education during the Greek Revolution.

December 23, 2024 Elonas, Greece. The Elonas Monastery is situated in the southern Parnon Mountains, specifically in the region of Kynouria, at an altitude of 650 meters. It is located approximately halfway between the towns of Leonidio and Kosmas, making it a significant landmark in the area. The road is narrow with hairpin turns, especially if coming from Leonidio, making the journey to the monastery as scenic as the destination itself.

December 14, 2024 Kalampaka, Greece. Kalampaka is a significant tourist destination due to its proximity to the monasteries of Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is nestled at the foothills of the extraordinary geological phenomenon of Meteora, a series of giant cliffs that dominate the landscape. The town is also known for its homemade sausages, top-quality meat, cheese, and yogurt, as well as local specialties like homemade pies, as well as for hand-made wood-carved objects, religious icons, and local embroideries.
