Blagaj has eleven national monuments, and is famous for the spring of the Buna river coming from cave, historical Dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520, and medieval fortress Blagaj Fort, town-fortress complex built on a 310 meters high karst hill. Blagaj is also known as a residential area of Bosnian rulers and royal families. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval and Ottoman. Mogorjelo, Bosnia and HerzegovinaKnown for ancient settlement, archaeological site, nature Mogorjelo is site and location of a Roman villa rustica that dates from the early fourth century. The villa area is surrounded by a park. The site is protected by the state and is a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Međugorje (Medjugorje), Bosnia and HerzegovinaKnown for catholic pilgrimage center Medjugorje, with special vibe and a mild Mediterranean climate, is the largest tourist and pilgrimage site in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
