All seasons 3 days Bosnia-Herzegovina discovery tour from Rogoznica. Visit the most important attractions of Bosnia-Herzegovina and see the natural park, old towns, monasteries and museums, Ottoman architecture, fortified towns, and old bridges.

On the first day, after pick up in Rogoznica, on the way to Mostar, we will visit a rare place, a real Roman villa Rustica, established as an agricultural estate in the 4th century AD; next, we will see historic town Pocitelj (UNESCO Tentative List site), served as an open-air museum, with narrow streets and an old Ottoman fort with a great view; after that we will visit historical town Blagaj (UNESCO Tentative List site) with a dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520 and admire the cave as source of Buna river with crystal clear water; at the end of this day, we will come to Mostar (UNESCO World Heritage Site), to walk the cobbled streets of the historical center and see the famous Mostar Old Bridge.

On the second day, on the way from Mostar to Sarajevo, we will walk over the old bridge in Konjic. In Sarajevo, we will visit a symbol of the Sarajevo siege, the so-called Tunnel of Hope. Following that, we will walk through the historical center to see the Orthodox and Catholic cathedrals, the famous historic market, and understand the reasons why Sarajevo is known as a multi-cultural city.

On the third day, we will come from Sarajevo to see the Ottoman fortress of Travnik, and before taking the road back to Rogoznica, we will visit the town Jajce, known for its beautiful waterfall, Ottoman fortress, and river park with very cute old small wooden watermills.

The tour will start and finish in Rogoznica (Croatia) and will take 3 days (2 nights). During this tour you will visit Mogorjelo, Počitelj, Blagaj, Mostar, Konjic, Sarajevo, Travnik, Jajce located in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We will pick you up at any hotel or place, in or around Rogoznica. Drop off is the same as pick up, or upon request in another place.

Overall, with this tour you will visit 1 UNESCO World Heritage site and 4 sites from the UNESCO Tentative List (sites that were submitted to the World Heritage Committee, and are awaiting to consider for nomination, and therefore suitable for inscription on the World Heritage List).

Mogorjelo is site and location of a Roman villa rustica that dates from the early fourth century. The villa area is surrounded by a park. The site is protected by the state and is a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Počitelj (Pocitelj), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Počitelj is a small Ottoman-Mediterranean settlement, built along the Neretva river, conveniently located on the major road between Dubrovnik and Mostar. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval and Ottoman.

Blagaj, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Blagaj is a village in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of Bosnia-Herzegovina, located in about 15 km from Mostar, and is one of the most valuable mixed urban and rural built environments in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Blagaj has eleven national monuments, and is famous for the spring of the Buna river coming from cave, historical Dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520, and medieval fortress Blagaj Fort, town-fortress complex built on a 310 meters high karst hill. Blagaj is also known as a residential area of Bosnian rulers and royal families.

The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia (dating back almost 4000 years), and home to the best preserved Ottoman bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ottoman-inspired bridge (Konjička Stara Ćuprija). Konjic natural heritage together with the cultural heritage represent rich and valuable resources for Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Europe.

Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Travnik is a charming small town located 90 km northeast of Sarajevo, and it is one of Bosnia-Herzegovina's most historically important towns. The town's centerpiece is the medieval Travnik fortress, which was originally established and controlled by Bosnian rulers before the Ottoman takeover of the 15th century. The town has a cultural heritage dating from the Ottoman period, with landmarks such as the Hadji Ali-bey Mosque, the Regional Museum, and the elaborate gymnasium built in the Austro-Hungarian architectural style.

Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Jajce is a town and municipality located in the central area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the confluence of the rivers Pliva and Vrbas. Jajce was first built in the 14th century and served as the capital of the independent Kingdom of Bosnia during its time. A medieval fortified old town of Jajce is one of the best preserved fortified capitals of the Bosnian Kingdom. The old Jajce walled city core, including the waterfall, and other individual sites outside the walled city perimeter, such as the Jajce Mithraeum, is designated as The natural and architectural ensemble of Jajce and is placed on the UNESCO Tentative list.
