Day after day descriptionDay 1. We depart Sarajevo and travel to the Tunnel of Hope, a poignant tourist attraction and museum that was a crucial lifeline during the city's siege in the 1990s. We then journey to Travnik to explore its imposing medieval fortress, dating back to the 14th century, and enjoy the scenic Lasva River. After that, we will come to Jajce for accommodation. Day 2. After staying in Jajce, we explore the town's historic medieval fortress, stroll through its charming historical center (UNESCO Tentative List Site), marvel at the unique Jajce waterfall where the Pliva River plunges into the Vrbas, and relax in its scenic park. We stay another night in Jajce. Day 3. After 2 nights in Jajce, we travel to the unique cultural site of Ljubacke doline, an ethno-village showcasing traditional Bosnian architecture. We then proceed to Banja Luka to see the grand Cathedral of Christ the Savior, a modern Serbian Orthodox church, explore the historic Kastel Fortress, and visit the city's famous brewery. Our accommodation for the night is in Banja Luka. Day 4. After staying in Banja Luka, we travel to Kljuc to see its medieval fortress overlooking the Sana River. We then enter the breathtaking Una National Park for a scenic drive and visit the spectacular Strbacki buk waterfall, one of the largest cascades on the emerald Una River. Afterwards, we will come to Bihac for accommodation. Day 5. After an overnight in Bihac, we explore a key historical landmark in this town on the Una River. We then travel to the remote and picturesque Martin Brod waterfall, another stunning natural highlight within the national park. After that, we will come to Livno for accommodation. Day 6. After staying in Livno, we travel to Šćit to visit its serene Franciscan (Roman Catholic) monastery, a key spiritual and cultural center, and its insightful museum.
