Tour description

Road trip 7 days by car to discover Bosnia-Herzegovina from Dubrovnik. Welcome to the all seasons tour to see the main attractions of Bosnia-Herzegovina. UNESCO World Heritage Sites and places from the UNESCO Tentative List, medieval old towns, ancient fortresses and monasteries, a natural reserve with a waterfalls and Vjetrenica cave which in terms of its biological diversity it is one of the richest caves in the world.

It is a real treasure in biodiversity. Also, it is the home to the famous olm (cave aquatic salamander) and houses beautiful cave formations as well.

Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Stolac and surroundings have been inhabited since ancient times due to the area's favorable natural environment. The rich grounds along with other natural benefits attracted prehistoric man, and later the Illyrians, Romans and Slavs, all of whom left a wealth of anthropological evidence. The area has been settled for at least 15,000 years.

Radimlja, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Počitelj (Pocitelj), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Pocitelj is a small Ottoman-Mediterranean settlement, built along the Neretva river, conveniently located on the major road between Dubrovnik and Mostar. The walled town of Pocitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval and Ottoman.

Mogorjelo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Mogorjelo is site and location of a Roman villa rustica that dates from the early fourth century. The villa area is surrounded by a park. The site is protected by the state and is a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Blagaj is a village in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of Bosnia-Herzegovina, located in about 15 km from Mostar, and is one of the most valuable mixed urban and rural built environments in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Blagaj has eleven national monuments, and is famous for the spring of the Buna river coming from cave, historical Dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520, and medieval fortress Blagaj Fort, town-fortress complex built on a 310 meters high karst hill. Blagaj is also known as a residential area of Bosnian rulers and royal families.

Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia-Herzegovina (dating back almost 4000 years), and home to the iconic Konjic Old Stone Bridge, constructed in 1683 during the Ottoman era. Konjic is also famous for its woodcarving tradition. Konjic natural heritage together with the cultural heritage represent rich and valuable resources for Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as Europe.

Višegrad (Visegrad), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Known for bridge, river, tourist attraction; bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Visegrad is a town and municipality located in the eastern part of Bosnia-Herzegovina. It rests at the confluence of the Drina and the Rzav rivers. The main attractions in Visegrad include the Ottoman-era Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge (UNESCO world heritage site), which was popularized by Ivo Andric in his novel The Bridge on the Drina. A tourist site called Andricgrad (Andric Town), dedicated to Andric, is located near the bridge, and its construction is being financed by the famous film director Emir Kusturica.

Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Trebinje, the southernmost city in Bosnia-Herzegovina and one of the most beautiful cities in the country, is the economic and cultural center of the region of Eastern Herzegovina. Its Ottoman walled Old Town together with the Arslanagic Bridge (which is one of the most attractive Ottoman-era bridges in Bosnia-Herzegovina) are the most visited tourist attraction in Trebinje.

Tvrdoš (Tvrdos), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Known for winery + wine tasting, orthodox monastery

The famous monastery Tvrdos, located about five kilometers from Trebinje, dates back to the Middle Ages and it is believed that it was founded by the Czar, Saint Constantine, and his mother Saint Helen. The Tvrdos monastery is renowned for its wine production and its wine cellars, with possibility to wine tasting.
