We depart from Split and cross into Bosnia-Herzegovina, first visiting the spectacular Kravica waterfalls, a natural amphitheater of cascades on the Trebizat River, ideal for swimming and photography. We then continue to Medjugorje, a world-famous Roman Catholic pilgrimage center that has attracted millions of visitors since reported apparitions began in 1981. Our journey proceeds to the iconic city of Mostar to explore its famous historical center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and admire the reconstructed 16th-century Stari Most (Old Bridge), a powerful symbol of reconciliation. We will stay overnight in Mostar. Day 2. After staying in Mostar, we take a short drive to Blagaj to visit the stunning Dervish monastery (Tekija) (UNESCO Tentative List Site), a 16th-century Sufi (Islamic) retreat dramatically built at the source of the emerald Buna River. We then travel to the enchanting Ottoman-era hill town of Pocitelj (UNESCO Tentative List Site), renowned for its beautifully preserved stone architecture and panoramic views. Our day concludes at Podrumi Andrija, a family-owned winery where we will sample excellent local vintages, a true delight for lovers of local food and drinks. After that, we will return to Mostar for accommodation. Day 3. After 2 nights in Mostar, we travel to Radimlja to see the remarkable medieval stecci (tombstone) necropolis (UNESCO World Heritage Site) from the 15th-16th centuries. We then continue to Stolac to admire its ancient hilltop fortress (UNESCO Tentative List Site), with origins dating to the 5th century. After that, we will come to Trebinje for accommodation. Day 4. After staying in Trebinje, we travel to Tvrdos to explore its Serbian Orthodox monastery, originally founded in the 15th century, and sample local wines at its winery. We return to Trebinje to visit the hilltop Hercegovacka Gracanica church with its panoramic views, admire the elegant Arslanagic Bridge from the 16th century, and explore the charming historical center of this lovely Herzegovinian town. We stay another night in Trebinje. Day 5. After 2 nights in Trebinje, we explore the fascinating Vjetrenica cave system (UNESCO World Heritage Site), renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity and spectacular underground formations. We then cross back into Croatia and travel to Ston to see its impressive fortress and the famous Ston walls, a monumental 5-kilometer defensive system built by the Republic of Ragusa in the 14th-15th centuries, often called the 'European Wall of China'. Finally, we return to Split, where our memorable journey concludes. The town's inner wall measures 890 metres in length, while the Great Wall outside the town has a circumference of 5 km. The walls extend to Mali Ston (Little Ston), a smaller town on the northern side of the isthmus and the end of the Bay of Mali Ston, notable for its mariculture.
