Introduction

Join us on a relaxing 3-day discovery tour from Trebinje, crafted for seniors and mature travelers who love history, sightseeing, and local food and drinks without hurry. Following the Slow Tourism philosophy with no rush and no tight schedules, this year-round journey takes you to UNESCO-listed treasures of Herzegovina, the iconic city of Mostar, the vibrant capital Sarajevo, and the stunning Sutjeska National Park.

Experience cultural aspects of Bosnia-Herzegovina, admire scenic roads through the Neretva valley and Sutjeska, sample excellent local vintages at Tvrdos winery, and let the region's history unfold before you. This tour combines well-known destinations like Mostar and Sarajevo with off-the-beaten-path hidden gems such as the Vjetrenica cave and the Tunnel of Hope museum – all at a gentle, easy pace, returning to Trebinje.

Day after day description

Day 1. We depart from Trebinje and travel to Tvrdos to explore its Serbian Orthodox monastery, originally founded in the 15th century, and sample local wines at its winery. We then continue to the fascinating Vjetrenica cave system (UNESCO World Heritage Site), renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity and spectacular underground formations. Our journey proceeds to the iconic city of Mostar to explore its famous historical center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and admire the reconstructed 16th-century Stari Most (Old Bridge), a powerful symbol of reconciliation. We stay this night in Mostar.

Day 2. After staying in Mostar, we will come to Sarajevo to explore the city's historical center (UNESCO Tentative List Site), a vibrant mosaic of Eastern and Western influences. We see the Sacred Heart cathedral, visit the Gazi Husrev-beg museum, wander through the bustling Bascarsija old bazaar, and admire the elegant Sebilj fountain. We stay this night in Sarajevo.

Day 3. After overnight in Sarajevo, we travel to the poignant Tunnel of Hope museum, a preserved underground passage that served as a vital lifeline during the city's siege in the 1990s. We then enjoy a scenic drive through the stunning Sutjeska National Park, one of Bosnia's oldest and most beautiful protected areas. Finally, we return to Trebinje, where our memorable journey concludes.
