Tour description

Come with us to visit 2 countries, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina, with off-season 2 days micro tour from Dubrovnik.

With this your we will pass beautiful coastal line of Montenegro to see famous Ostrog monastery, situated against an almost vertical cliff.

In Bosnia-Herzegovina, we will visit Trebinje, the center of the area with famous wines. In Trebinje we will have a dinner in local family running winery. Near by Trebinje we will see old orthodox monastery Tvrdos with own wine cellars where we will taste local wines.

Before we will return back to Dubrovnik, we will see another monastery, Zavala, partially located in cave, and explore natural cave Vjetrenica (UNESCO Tentative List site).

Trebinje, the southernmost city in Bosnia-Herzegovina and one of the most beautiful cities in the country, is the economic and cultural center of the region of Eastern Herzegovina. Its Ottoman walled Old Town together with the Arslanagic Bridge (which is one of the most attractive Ottoman-era bridges in Bosnia-Herzegovina) are the most visited tourist attraction in Trebinje.

Tvrdoš (Tvrdos), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Known for winery, orthodox monastery

The famous monastery Tvrdos, located about five kilometers from Trebinje, dates back to the Middle Ages and it is believed that it was founded by the Czar, Saint Constantine, and his mother Saint Helen. The Tvrdos monastery is renowned for its wine production and its wine cellars, with possibility to wine tasting.

Vjetrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Vjetrenica (the wind cave) is the largest and most important cave in Bosnia-Herzegovina, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the most important caves in the Dinaric Alps mountain range, which is famous worldwide for its karstic and speleological richness. It is a real treasure in biodiversity. Also, it is the home to the famous olm (cave aquatic salamander) and houses beautiful cave formations as well.

Zavala, Bosnia and Herzegovina

An important and historical Serbian Orthodox monastery located in the village of Zavala, approximately 50 km from Trebinje (Republika Srpska). Along with Zitomislic (located near Mostar) and Tvrdos (near the city of Trebinje), Zavala is one of the most prominent monasteries in East Herzegovina.
