We invite you to one day tour from Dubrovnik to Sarajevo. The tour will pass few attractions of Bosnia-Herzegovina. We going to see Tvrdos monastery and taste great white, red, and rose wines of its cellar. We will have a short stop to see small Orthodox monastery Zavala, partially located in cave. We will see historical town Blagaj (UNESCO Tentative List site), situated at the spring of the Buna river, and visit dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520. From Blagaj we will take a short road to famous Mostar (UNESCO World Heritage site), walk in historical center and admire Mostar Old Bridge. On the way to Sarajevo, we will have a short stop in Konjic, to see and walk over impressive old bridge.

The famous monastery Tvrdos, located about five kilometers from Trebinje, dates back to the Middle Ages and it is believed that it was founded by the Czar, Saint Constantine, and his mother Saint Helen. The Tvrdos monastery is renowned for its wine production and its wine cellars, with possibility to wine tasting.

Zavala, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Known for orthodox monastery

An important and historical Serbian Orthodox monastery located in the village of Zavala, approximately 50 km from Trebinje (Republika Srpska). Along with Zitomislic (located near Mostar) and Tvrdos (near the city of Trebinje), Zavala is one of the most prominent monasteries in East Herzegovina.

Blagaj, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Blagaj is a village in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of Bosnia-Herzegovina, located in about 15 km from Mostar, and is one of the most valuable mixed urban and rural built environments in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Blagaj has eleven national monuments, and is famous for the spring of the Buna river coming from cave, historical Dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520, and medieval fortress Blagaj Fort, town-fortress complex built on a 310 meters high karst hill. Blagaj is also known as a residential area of Bosnian rulers and royal families.

Mostar, beautiful and historical town, located only 60 km away from the Adriatic Sea, is the cultural, political and financial center of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia-Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.

Known for bridge, river

The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia (dating back almost 4000 years), and home to the best preserved Ottoman bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ottoman-inspired bridge (Konjička Stara Ćuprija). Konjic natural heritage together with the cultural heritage represent rich and valuable resources for Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Europe.
