During this off-season 11 days tour we are going to explore 2 fascinating countries, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina. We will pick you up in Tivat, a coastal town with an airport, in southwest Montenegro.
Within this tour we will visit the fortified UNESCO town Kotor, the country's finest town, Perast in the center of the Bay of Kotor and the charming Trebinje, the perfect off the beaten path destination. The route will take us to the famous Tvrdos Orthodox monastery and, on our way to UNESCO city Mostar, we will visit Vjetrenica cave and small Zavala monastery partially built in a cave. In Mostar, we will walk its historical center and famous Mostar Bridge, and learn the history of this beautiful town. In the area of Mostar we will see also the historical Dervish monastery located in Blagaj, visit Kravica waterfalls, the lovely fortified town Pocitelj built in the 13th century, and important pilgrimage center Medjugorje. Between Mostar and Sarajevo we will come to see Scit monastery and ethnographic museum located on tiny peninsula, visit medieval town Jajce with Ottoman fortress, beautiful waterfall, and amazing cute small watermills. After Jajce, on the way to Sarajevo, we will come to see the fortress in town Travnik and learn about controversial place called Bosnian Pyramids. Being in Sarajevo, we will walk the historical center, visit important for each Sarajevo resident place called the Tunnel of Hope, see panoramic view of Sarajevo from a mountain with funicular, and come to sleep in Trebinje before start exploring Montenegro. In Montenegro, we will see the most important in the Balkans monastery Ostrog, visit cave monastery Dajbabe, walk the streets of ancient settlement Old Bar, and finally come to Budva to walk its narrow streets full of life. The tour will start and finish in Tivat (Montenegro) and will take 11 days (10 nights).
