Our tour will start with visiting the archaeological site Dodoni (UNESCO Tentative List site), known in ancient times for its Oracle, which nowadays features a huge ancient theater (UNESCO Tentative List site). We will stay overnight in the mountain town Metsovo, known for its wine and cheese.

Before coming to Zagori, we will also visit the town of Kastoria, known for its fur production and exceptional Byzantine churches. We will learn about the Byzantine period of Greece in its Byzantine museum, use the promenade along the lake, and come to see the monastery and cave.

There we will visit the most important villages in the regions of Central Zagori and Tymfi, and scout beautiful ancient stone bridges locals still use.
